Mr. J at 21 weeks

So Mr. J turned 21 weeks this week, and as is our tradition, we did another shoot.  I must say, for a while there I was wondering if I was insane for committing to weekly shoots with him.  Every single one started, included or ended in screaming.  No, not by me...although there were some days in the early weeks where I was crying right along with him.  But now we've started to even out a bit.  We still end in fussing, but it's not as quickly and not nearly as loud!  Our results for this week.............

Happy 9th Birthday John!!

Birthday boy, John, celebrated his 9th birthday last weekend.  He chose a Michael Jackson "Thriller" theme.  The colors were black and white and everyone was encouraged to dress in Michael Jacksonish attire...I know, you love that word...Michael "Jacksonish."  Here are some of my favorite shots from the party.

My Passion

I had the question, "What is your creative passion?" posed to me recently. 
passion: a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm or desire for anything.
Hmmm...what do I love, and why?  What makes me enthusiastic about what I do?  Good question.  Not an easy one for me to answer.  I thought on it for a whole day!  I know...what took me so long?!?  I have so many things that I love doing.  So many things that are wonderful creative outlets for me.  I enjoy taking turns doing all of them.  But when it comes down to what I am passionate about I realized that the answer really wasn't all that difficult.  Preserving memories.  It's why I'm a photographer.  It's why I'm a designer.  I want my memories and those of all my clients to be preserved for generations to come.  So what's my creative passion?.....
